Throughout my teaching career, I have focused on a multi-faceted and trial-and-error based learning experience for students.
Rather than worrying about the minutia of technical learning, this gives students the opportunity to learn how to learn.
Readings, videos, hands-on activities, group work, and discussions revolve around topical formats that help grow students’ understanding of critical thinking.
Teaching in Interactive Arts, I have a great opportunity to use multiple projects that focus on Design Thinking, prototyping, user testing, experiential and interface design, media literacy, as well as building students’ understanding of their medium from the ground up in both Art and Design.
