Description:
From memory to written word and screen; the stories humans tell inspire and teach us about the world around us. These linear (or “time-based”) tales move from beginning, to middle, and end – but what happens when the listener becomes an active participant within the narrative? Allowing for change within a story impacts meaning, narrative arch, outcomes, and countless possibilities. Using non-linear storytelling techniques, this class utilizes the ability modern technology grants us to construct stories not based on time, but choice. This course will use video and animation software and hardware to create these virtual fifth dimensional experiences and engage audiences (users) to interact with stories like they never have before.
