For those of you that aren’t aware - the CCDC has shut down the Salvation Army’s food distribution, which puts Bread of Life out on the streets. So tonight we hit the streets again to pass out food to those less fortunate than ourselves in this crappy rainy cold weather. Cold is 47 degrees currently. Also my good friend Laurie Kietzman is in town! Last night her, Aaron, Brian Becker, Rachel, Jason, Leigh and I went to Red Sea Restaurant for some good Ethiopian eats. Complete with injera silverware. After that we went over to Leigh/Rachel/Erin’s place and played Super Mario Bros on NES for a few hours. We had a couple visits from their house mouse which scared Laurie so bad she kicked a table and broke a glass - good times. Super Mario Bros made all of us nostalgic and Aaron and I have decided we need to have a co-ed sleepover and play NES all night long. Anyways, back to Bread of Life - there were a couple people that got arrested tonight right around the corner in the Pep Boys parking lot so John stood around and talked to one of the local SDPD officers (that knows Norma from the coalition and Bread of Life on 13th and Broadway) about the food distribution, how the officer felt we are simply continuing the circle, where we’re going next, etc. Definitely gave me some stuff to think about even though I didn’t hear the full conversation. I’m here at home for a little while and here in 10 minutes I’m heading back up to church to spend the night at the inclement weather shelter downstairs. Laurie, Johnnie Wright, Aaron and I are working the night shift. What will I be doing tomorrow? Really you want to know? Well tomorrow I will get back here around 7am, probably take a nap, then I’ll work more on a Flash project I’m doing for a guy in PB, look at some paperwork for starting CityWise (which I made a decision to start alone with the support of Fabrice, Steve, Scott, and Burak) and probably play some Xbox as well.

Also a heads up to those interested - I’ve been asked to show my artwork at a coffee shop right around the corner from our apartment (on 30th and Adams) that is expanding and will be having a grand opening the beginning of February. I’m working on some new pieces now that I hope to have printed soon, and it’s going to be all my work on the walls. Should be a cool new place from what the owner has told me. So you’re invited. Also later in the spring I believe I’m going to be having a gallery at INR NRG (the piercing place I got my lip ring at a month or so ago) - but that’s not as finalized as the coffee shop. I’ll put some of my work up here as it becomes ready to get some feedback before printing. I’d appreciate any and all criticism. As a matter of fact… here’s one… let me know what you think.
